National make A Difference Day: October 23 2021

Are you one of those people who says things like, "Who has time for baths" or "I'm too busy to lay in a tub."  Well Island heritage wants you to rethink those thoughts by considering some much needed time for self-care!  National Make a Difference Day is on October 23rd this year and although it is a significant day to consider a day of community service, maybe consider a chance to unwind in a long warm bath as a way to make a difference in your life which ultimately will make a difference in someone else's life because you will be stress-free.  After a long, stressful day, here are a few elements to consider when making a bath to guarantee relaxation and rejuvenation.

Create Some Ambiance
Make your bathroom a place to relax and rejuvenate so declutter as much as you can and cue up your favorite music while searching out a nice fluffy towel and bath robe.

Draw The Water
Pick the right temperature so that you are comfortable but consider the water being a little warmer to guarantee a nice soak.  Not too hot though, you don't want to rob your skin of it's natural oils!  The water should be close to body temperature around 37 degrees, that’s ideal letting the steam moisture, softens and detoxify your skin.

Get Silky
Bath oils are great accompaniment for bath time.  Our Coconut Willie coconut oil, derived from the fruit of the Coconut tree, is rich in nutritious fatty acids and an intensive natural moisturizer that can  soothe irritated sensitive or dry skin.  Think of using coconut oil as a bath oil!

Bring On The Aroma
Bath salts and foaming bath salts are great muscle relaxants that tackle everything from stress, fatigue, and inflammation.  Pick any one of our bath salts to not only relax your muscles but to bring the sensational scents of the islands to bath time.  There's Island Rose, Pikake Jasmine, Plumeria Vanilla, and Tropical Breeze.

We have so many ways to encourage and uplift those who are going through, survived, or left behind loved ones battling this disease. View our Gift Guide by (clicking here) or click the gift idea images below!
